In a rare public statement, Britney Spears announced that she is “on cloud nine” after being freed from the conservatorship. The singer says she will now focus on her music and family life with Kevin Federline, who has been by her side since 2007.

Britney Spears is “on cloud nine” after being freed from her conservatorship. The pop star has been released from a court-ordered conservatorship, which was put in place after she suffered a mental breakdown in 2007.

After a court ended her contentious conservatorship on Friday after 13 years, Britney Spears took to Instagram to reflect on her new life and those who helped her get it.

The Circus singer, 39, had her father, Jamie Spears, removed from his role as her conservator, in charge of her health and finances, in September, but with this latest ruling, Britney will be able to reclaim control of all aspects of her life as official measures are taken to end the complicated legal arrangement she has been under since she was 27.

Next to an image of a lipstick, the chart-topper reads: ‘What an incredible weekend… The whole time, I felt like I was on cloud 9!!! I had my first glass of champagne last night in the most gorgeous restaurant I’ve ever seen!!!! For the next two months, I’ll be enjoying my independence and my B day!!!!!!!!!!! After all, it’s been 13 years… I believe I’ve had enough of waiting!!!!!

‘I’m so glad my lawyer Mathew Rosengart came into my life at the right time…’ she said. He has genuinely changed my life… That is something for which I will be eternally grateful!!!!’

‘What a sight seeing so many people celebrate my win….’ Britney tweeted, never forgetting her followers or the force of the #FreeBritney campaign. I adore my audience… ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you,

The singer joked about her recent spate of posts in the same green top, saying she was’really pleased’ about it.

‘Hailey Bieber is the only person I’ve ever seen wearing shoulder pads.’ For Halloween, she dressed up like me… I believe I have gained brownie points with my children!!!! But honestly, how awesome is that???? Okay, so I wore the same shirt four times in one day…. I enjoyed how it made me feel, and I had no idea shoulder pads were so attractive!!!!’

As the news broke on Friday, the celebrity posted video of her fans waving banners and rejoicing with confetti canons outside the courtroom.

‘Good God, I adore my fans so much it’s ridiculous!!!’ she tweeted. I’m pretty sure I’m going to weep for the rest of the day!!!! The best day of my life… God be praised… Can I receive a standing ovation???? #FreedBritney.’

‘I can’t frickin believe it!!!!’ Britney said on Instagram. ‘Once again, the happiest day of my life!!!!’

On Instagram, the star’s fiancee, Sam Asghari, posted a photo with the word ‘Freedom.’

‘History was created today,’ he added in the caption. ‘Britney Spears is Free!’

The historic ruling comes after the renowned singer fought for many years to have her court-appointed conservatorship lifted, which was imposed in 2008 after she had a mental health crisis.

She gave a shocking court statement in June, describing the arrangement as “abusive” and revealing that she “cries every day.”

She further claimed that she was barred from having another kid because she was forced to have an IUD in her body and that she was not permitted to be driven in a vehicle by her fiancé, Sam Asghari.

With a few minor exceptions, Britney’s estate and person were both placed under conservatorship.

Judge Brenda Penny of the Los Angeles County Superior Court terminated the conservatorship after 30 minutes of testifying and without requesting any additional mental exam.

She noted that a temporary conservator should maintain certain rights, but that the formal arrangement is ‘effective today… therefore terminated.’

‘What’s next for Britney, and this is the first time this could be stated in roughly a decade, is up to one person: Britney,’ Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart said after the historic hearing.

‘I’m really proud of her,’ he continued. I admire her bravery, composure, and strength. She was instrumental in bringing conservatorships and guardianships to the attention of the public from coast to coast.’
