World of Warcraft is bringing back the Thanksgiving-themed Pilgrim’s Bounty event. The event will run from November 17th, 2020 to December 3rd, 2020.
The Pilgrim’s Bounty event will be the first time that Thanksgiving-themed items have been obtainable in World of Warcraft, or any other Blizzard game for that matter. This holiday has always felt like a celebration not just for America but also all regions where people celebrate it. It is an opportunity to share with others at home and abroad who are still unable to partake in traditional celebrations due to their work schedules.
If you’re a World of Warcraft player looking to count your blessings, the Pilgrim’s Bounty event is back, and it’ll be simpler to do so in-game between now and Tuesday, November 30th, at all Alliance and Horde capital cities and most settlements.
The event is identical to previous Pilgrim’s Bounties, including accomplishments for distributing food to others (or tossing dishes at others’ heads), shooting wild turkeys, and dressing up in seasonal garb while confronting Talon King Ikiss. There’s also the normal assortment of seasonal products, combat pets, recipes, and toys; it’s much the same as it was in 2017. Still, it’s time to express appreciation for people who like this time of year or who may have missed out on previous festivities.
Due to a lengthy run of controversies in the MMO and gaming field over the past several years, including the Blitzchung boycott, huge layoffs, labor issues, and executive pay controversy, Activision-Blizzard is regarded a problematic corporation in the MMO and gaming industry. The company was sued by the state of California in the summer of 2021 for fostering a work environment that was riddled with sexual harassment and discrimination, and the company’s disastrous response has added to Blizzard’s ongoing pipeline issues and the widespread perception that its online games are on the decline. Multiple state and federal authorities are investigating the corporation as of autumn 2021, and the industry has demanded Bobby Kotick’s resignation after further allegations on his wrongdoings.
