With Resident Evil: The Final Chapter coming to theaters this year, it seems that the Resident Evil franchise is finally winding down. But the franchise hasn’t gone away, it’s just changed. While Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will still be a Resident Evil game, it’s also a prequel to the original game.

It was just a matter of time before Capcom would reveal the title of the next entry in their hugely successful zombie-survival franchise. And now it’s finally here, with Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness . And it looks like Capcom is doing everything in its power to make the spinoff a worthy follow-up to the main series, following the events of Resident Evil 6.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, and as the title implies, focuses on the spinoff story of Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar, the two main protagonists of the Resident Evil series. But what is even more interesting is how the game is all about survival, and how you will have to fight against the zombie hordes that are trying to eat you alive. So, as you can imagine, there is a lot of action in this title, and we are quite looking forward to see what Capcom has in store for us.
