The New England Patriots have a lot of talent at wide receiver. The most common question is can they find another player to add? If so, who should the team target?
The “colts wide receivers 2021” is a list of 4 wide receivers who the Colts should consider adding. The list includes Dede Westbrook, Calvin Ridley, Courtland Sutton, and Corey Davis.
It’s no secret that the Indianapolis Colts have a quarterback problem.
The Colts have struggled to find a replacement for Andrew Luck, who left before the start of the 2019 season. When they traded for Carson Wentz last year, they believed he’d be their man, but he faltered when it counted most, and Indy missed the playoffs in 2021. As a result, it looks like they want to let him go in the coming weeks.
However, regardless of who starts as quarterback for the Colts next season, the quarterback will need stars to throw to, and the wide receiver position is devoid of quality. In 2021, Michael Pittman Jr. had a career year, catching 88 passes for 1,082 yards and six touchdowns, but no one else had more than 384 yards.
Fans in Indianapolis, on the other hand, have nothing to worry about. This summer, their club has a lot of possibilities.
The Colts should explore signing four wide receivers, according to this list.
This one might be a long shot. Adams, Davante will be one of the most sought-after free agents in the NFL this offseason after catching 123 passes for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2021. He will also have plenty of options if the Packers don’t keep him, and the Fresno State product probably won’t want to go somewhere with a quarterback problem.
Another question is if the Colts will be able to pay him. They have the salary space to sign a player worth more than $23 million per year, but things may become complex if they trade for a big-name quarterback.
However, if general manager Chris Ballard and the front office can work out the kinks, Adams should be considered. He’s the league’s top receiver, and he’ll help whatever offense he’s a part of in 2022.

Reports suggest that the Dallas Cowboys could release Cooper, Amari. If they do, the Colts should run faster Jonathan Taylor to recruit him.
Cooper, who is just 27 years old, has three straight 1,000-yard seasons from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, his statistics dropped somewhat, however this was most likely due to CeeDee Lamb’s breakthrough season. The Alabama graduate remains a capable pass-catcher who might contribute in the proper scheme.
For the Colts, he’d be a fantastic acquisition.

Mike Williams is a well-known figure in the will also be one of the more popular free agents this offseason after having the best year of his career for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021. He caught 76 passes for 1,146 yards, both career highs. He also had nine touchdown catches.
Williams, of course, had the benefit of playing alongside an up-and-coming quarterback in Justin Herbert, which may have aided his performance, but he’s a gifted athlete with the ability to be a deadly weapon for any club.
Guys like Chris Godwin (who will likely return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Allen Robinson II, Odell Beckham Jr., and Michael Gallup could have gone here, but Pierce, Alec would allow the Colts to save a bit of money.
No, he isn’t an established commodity like the others stated, but he has the necessary skills to become a great receiver.
Pierce is a large man at 6 feet 3 inches and 213 pounds, and he had a lot of success in a balanced Cincinnati Bearcats offense. He showed off his quickness at the NFL Scouting Combine. In 2021, Pierce had 52 receptions for 884 yards and eight touchdowns.
Indy’s first choice in the 2022 NFL Draft is wide receiver No. 47 overall in the second round, but this class is loaded. With that choice, the club may address another need by drafting Pierce in the third round.
The Colts would be taking a bigger risk by selecting Pierce, but if they do so and concentrate only on finding a quarterback, he might wind up being the steal of the draft.
Pro Football Reference and the Cincinnati Athletics provided the statistics.
