While naming the top-20 and even top-30 players is simple, naming the others becomes very tough. Because great players may dominate various parts of the court, evaluating their abilities in different periods can be difficult.

Regardless, we’ve put together a list of past, current, and future Los Angeles Lakers players that should make the top-75 list. The Lakers are one of the most renowned NBA teams, having produced some of the game’s best players. That’s why we’ve chosen 10 Hall of Famers who now play or have previously played for the Lakers as shoo-ins for the top-75 list, as well as another four who have a good chance of retiring as all-time greats. Without further ado, here are the Lakers’ best players, as well as their position as top-75 stars.

a few exceptions

Bryant, Kobe

Kobe Bryant is a top-10 player in NBA history, let alone a top-75 talent. The Black Mamba was the closest thing to Michael Jordan in terms of dominance and longevity, and he was the greatest Laker of all time.

Kobe Bryant lived for the Purple and Gold, where he spent 20 seasons and left numerous memories for Lakers fans. Bryant is an obvious inclusion on the top-75 list as a Laker because of his five NBA titles, two Finals MVPs, and the 2008 MVP.

Magic Johnson is a well-known basketball player.

Magic Johnson is widely regarded as the best Laker of all time, alongside Kobe Bryant. Because he made everyone around him better, the legendary point guard may be the best leader and floor general at the point guard position.

Of course, Magic was victorious, and Laker Nation adores victorious teams. With the Lakers, the 6’9″ point guard won 5 titles, 3 Finals MVPs, 3 MVPs, and was named to 12 All-Star Teams. Johnson is an obvious selection since he may be a top-10 player of all time.

Abdul-Jabbar, Kareem

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was the most dominating center in terms of longevity and success, and the only player to ever have a chance to compete with Michael Jordan for the title of GOAT. Kareem won five titles and a Finals MVP award with the Lakers.

From 1976 through 1986, the big man possessed the most unstoppable shot in NBA history, the skyhook, and was the Lakers’ best scorer for 11 years. Abdul-Jabbar is another shoo-in for the top-75 players, as well as a top-10 player of all time.

Shaquille O’Neal is a basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Shaquille O’Neal, the most dominating force in contemporary basketball history, was at his finest with the Los Angeles Lakers. Diesel was unbeatable as a paint presence and established a dynasty with Kobe Bryant, winning three titles and three Finals MVPs in a row.

O’Neal played for a variety of teams, including the Magic, Heat, and Cavaliers, but he is most known for his time with the Lakers. O’Neal, like the three players before him, is one of the top ten players of all time and an obvious inclusion.

Wilt Chamberlain was a basketball player who played for the Los Angeles La

Chamberlain, who holds the bulk of NBA records, is another player who ranks among the top ten all-time players. Wilt’s career averages were 30.1 points per game and 22.9 rebounds per game, and he set many records with the Warriors and Lakers.

However, Chamberlain is best known as a Laker since he earned his first Finals MVP and second championship with the team. Wilt is a one-of-a-kind talent who is unquestionably among the best 75 players of all time. Despite the fact that the center spent the most of his career as the game’s most dominating physical specimen, his skill is unquestionable.

Jerry West is a well-known figure in the

Jerry West, the NBA’s logo, is one of the greatest shooting guards of all time. In his 14 seasons with the Lakers, the Hall of Famer won one NBA championship and was named to 14 All-Star Teams. West also had career averages of 27.0 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, and 6.7 assists per game.

West is one of the greatest Lakers in NBA history, and he’s a no-brainer as a top-75 player. Mr. Clutch was the nickname given to the scoring and playmaking guard, and it was this trait that made him one of the most feared players in crunch time history. West’s status as a top-5 shooting guard makes him a foregone conclusion.

LeBron James is a basketball player from the United States.

The King has only been a Laker for three years, but he already has a spot on the all-time Lakers list after winning a title and being named Finals MVP. At the age of 36, James is still the greatest all-around player in the NBA, having led the Lakers to a dominating playoff run two seasons ago in The Bubble.

LeBron is also the best small forward of all time, easily making him a top-10 player of all time. The Lakers have had an incredible number of top-10 players, and James is yet another all-time great who will represent the franchise as a top-75 player.

Baylor, Elgin

Because he achieved everything else in the game, Elgin Baylor may be the greatest player who never won an NBA championship. Over the course of his career, Baylor earned Rookie of the Year and was named to 11 All-Star Teams. He is, without a doubt, one of the greatest forwards of all time because of his incredible scoring and rebounding abilities.

Baylor has a lifetime scoring average of 27.4 points per game and 13.5 rebounds per game while playing 40.0 minutes per game. “The Big Hurt” sank a lot of shots and dominated the boards, establishing himself as a supremely confident superstar. Baylor would be higher on the all-time list if he had played on more championship teams, but he is comfortably in the top 75.

Worthy, James

“Big Game” is a term used to describe a sporting event James Worthy embodies the ideal great player who excels in big games. The small forward made 7 All-Star Teams as a member of the Purple and Gold, winning a Finals MVP and three titles with the Lakers. His career was undoubtedly aided by playing with Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Worthy enters the top-75 list of all-time players because he was a winner at the highest level and consistently showed up in the big games. Despite the fact that the All-Star forward only played until he was 32 years old, he is a shoo-in as one of the top-75 players to ever represent the Lakers.

Nash, Steve

While Steve Nash was far beyond his peak when he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, he remains a top-75 player in club history. The two-time MVP was a fantastic shooter and passer who was unstoppable as an offensive mastermind.

His Phoenix Suns teams were extremely dominating, and Nash was the driving force behind Mike D’Antoni’s revolutionary offense. Nash played for the Lakers when he was 38 and 39 years old, but he still had good runs of games when he showed flashes of his previous self as a top-75 player in NBA history.

Inclusions that are debatable

Anthony Davis is a professional basketball player.

Anthony Davis is a unique talent who will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the best players to ever play his position. However, his status as a top-75 player is now disputed. Davis won an NBA championship with the Lakers, but he still has a long way to go before he can be considered one of the greatest Lakers of all time.

Anthony Davis averages 24.5 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game, and 2.1 blocks per game, and the Lake Show has a chance to win more NBA championships. Playing with LeBron James and Russell Westbrook is a basketball player who plays for the Oklahoma will offer him the opportunity to break into the top 75 players of all time.

Howard, Dwight

In his heyday, Dwight Howard was a superstar, as the three-time Defensive Player of the Year controlled the paint for the Orlando Magic. He will almost certainly be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a defensive specialist, and he has a shot to retire as one of the top-75 players in NFL history. Of course, the big guy played for the Lakers on two occasions.

Howard made the All-Star Team in his first stay, averaging 17.1 points per game and 12.4 rebounds per game, but he would have more team success in his second stint, when he was a reserve player and won his first NBA title. Dwight Howard is entering his third season with the club and has a chance to win an NBA championship.

Pau Gasol

1633446591_280_10-Los-Angeles-Lakers-Legends-Who-Could-Make-Top

Pau Gasol is one of the most popular Lakers of all time since he was Kobe Bryant’s and the Lakers’ missing piece during their championship seasons in 2009 and 2010. Gasol flourished as Kobe Bryant’s right-hand man, enabling the shooting guard to lead the club while playing wonderfully off him. Because of this, Bryant would most likely pick Gasol as his favorite teammate to play with.

During his seven seasons with the Purple and Gold, Gasol averaged 17.7 points per game, 9.9 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists per game, and 1.4 blocks per game. Gasol, on the other hand, was a superstar player at times. Over the course of his Hall of Fame career, the big man was named to six All-Star teams and four All-NBA teams, and he is considered one of the greatest Grizzlies players ever. He has a chance to make the top 75, but it will be difficult for him to do so.

Russell Westbrook

1633446592_55_10-Los-Angeles-Lakers-Legends-Who-Could-Make-Top

Russell Westbrook is a first-ballot Hall of Famer because he averaged a triple-double for four seasons, won an MVP award, and was named to nine All-Star teams. Westbrook is also the most athletic point guard in NBA history, and his explosiveness and jumping abilities have a lengthy history of shredding defenses.

Westbrook will also be playing for the Lakers for the first time, and he has his greatest opportunity of winning a championship since 2012. On the field, the point guard excels at a variety of tasks, but an NBA title would catapult his career to new heights, putting him comfortably in the top 75. Until then, Russ’ inclusion is questionable.
